Day 133 - haircut

got my hair cut today. it feels so much better to have it off my neck and I love it (looks better in person than it does in this picture). and the image on the right was an accidental while I was moving my camera around. I liked it so there it is.

Day 100 - can't believe I made it this far

thank you to everybody who has visited and commented my daily photos. it's been great so far. I've learned a lot, experimented a lot, discovered a lot about myself and missed a lot of days, lol.

she decided to do this pose and wanted me to take pictures of her. :) she's such a sweet girl.

I've decided to stop numbering my daily photos. I plan on doing this project for as long as I can stick with it so there really isn't a reason to number anything.

Day 107 - The Palouse

We decided to take drive out to The Palouse tonight. I cannot express to you how amazing it is out there. I could definitely live there and look at those rolling hills everyday. It must be hard work to maintain those fields. I have plenty more of these to share.

Day 129 - lavender

picked up this dried lavender at the farmer's market today. *sigh* I love it. sometimes it's the simple things that make me the most happy.

day 81 - amazing night

see more from tonight here

I want to know how I lived without this grad nd filter for so long. *sigh* All I had to do to this was a little curves (where before I would have to set up my tripod and take 5 shots, different exposures and then spend an hour or more in photoshop blending them together without making it look HDR ish).

I have a few more from tonight. The sky was really really amazing.

PS - this is down by my moms house where I took this photo. I finally got down here to see how much the river had flooded. They closed off her street (Upriver Drive) because the river had covered it at one point. Most of the Centennial Trail is dry now, but there were a couple of areas that were still flooded. We saw a guy a bicycle just keep on riding into the water. I told him the trail was pretty flooded and deep, but he kept going. A little while after that we saw him coming back our way and he was soaked up to his knees. He said farther up the current was too strong and water too deep for him to continue. LOL...

Day 91 - going underwater

well this is completely blurry, crappy and snapshot -ish, BUT I had to test my new waterproof camera. it's just a little old p&s (olympus stylus 770 sw), but I really wanted a camera I could take some underwater shots with and I sure as heck wasn't going to pay $5k for a heavy, bulky housing for my 5D. Anyway, it shouldn't look this crappy once I get outdoors in the sunshine with it. Can't wait!
